What is Photorejuvenation or IPL Photofacial?

Photorejuvenation is a process where light energy is emitted into the tissues targeting the imperfections. Most of our Cayuga clients describe the treatments as a gentle snapping sensation with minimal discomfort. Lesions such as age spots will darken immediately and then fade and disappear within 10-14 days. Visible veins will show an immediate response and will also fade over 10-14 days. It is possible to experience some swelling and redness, similar to that of a sunburn, and usually resolves in 24-72 hours. Side effects do not interfere with normal activities and can be covered with makeup the following day.

The number of IPL Photorejuvenation treatments in Cayuga depends upon the individual. Most issues of pigmentation will show a dramatic improvement after one session. Spider veins and vessels often need repeated treatment because these issues lay deeper under the skin. The benefits of collagen production for fine lines is also more evident after a series of photofacial treatments.

It is important to avoid direct sun exposure, self tanning creams and the use of tanning beds 4 weeks prior to Photorejuvenation treatment. This minimizes the risk for complications. BTL EMSELLA is a new service now being offered here, and if you are someone like me who has lived her life with too many bathroom breaks, I would recommend giving this treatment a try. I have dealt with a sensitive bladder for most of my life, and to say the least, this has been inconvenient. I was getting up at least once a night and whenever I was out looking for the closest washroom. When I heard about this treatment being offered, I decided to give it a try. Six sessions over 3 weeks. Nothing invasive or painful. My experience so far has been liberating in that I am no longer having an interrupted sleep and can wander the mall for a few hours before scoping out the nearest washroom. In my opinion this has been totally worth it.

the BEST laser hair removal ever. I am so happy with my results, it has genuinely changed my life. I had issues my whole life shaving and getting insane irritation, but after a few sessions here my hair barely grows anymore. and it’s been about a year since I’ve had any treatments- still barely any hair growth. I went to a different med spa first and had 8 laser hair removal sessions which did nothing to reduce my hair growth. Then came to this clinic and i saw results after my first session. i’m telling you the laser is very effective and the technician is VERY thorough and gets all the spots. 10/10 if you want results and hair reduction give this a try I would recommend to everyone!!
