Medical Skin Growth Assessment for Ancaster Clients
Skin growths such as moles, skin tags, and seborrheic keratoses are very common. Many are harmless and may be removed for cosmetic reasons, comfort, or irritation from clothing and jewelry. However, some skin lesions should be medically assessed before removal to rule out potential concerns.
At Laser Aesthetics, Dr. McDonald provides professional evaluation and treatment planning for a variety of benign skin growths. During your appointment, she will examine the lesion, discuss your concerns, explain your available options, and recommend a treatment approach based on the type, size, location, and appearance of the growth.
Please, DO NOT attempt to remove moles at home, at a salon, or at a spa. Mole removal should only be performed by a medically trained professional in a safe and controlled clinical environment. Improper removal can lead to infection, scarring, incomplete removal, delayed diagnosis, or other complications.
We do not remove moles on the face.
A mole removal consultation with Dr. McDonald is $50. Some medically necessary cases may be covered under OHIP. Cosmetic removals are generally not covered.
