Laser Vein Treatment

Laser therapy is another alternative medical procedure that also can be performed at our Burlington Laser Vein Treatment clinic. It is sometimes used as a complement to Sclerotherapy in order to maximize results. It is most effective for spider veins in legs and other parts of the body. For those individuals who do not like needles, this provides an alternative option, though your physician will counsel you on which treatment modality is best given your particular situation.

How does Laser Therapy for Vein Treatment Work?

Laser therapy uses a focused beam of light that heats and damages the affected blood vessel, which eventually fades.

There are two types of laser vein treatments: simple and endovenous.

Simple laser vein treatment for our Burlington clients is done on the outside of your skin. It can treat spider veins and tiny varicose veins just under the skin's surface. Usually, more than one laser session is needed. They are scheduled every 6 to 12 weeks, as prescribed by your doctor.

Endovenous laser treatment can treat larger varicose veins in the legs. A laser fibre is passed through a thin tube (catheter) into the vein. While doing this, the doctor watches the vein on a duplex ultrasound screen. Laser is less painful than vein ligation and stripping, and it has a shorter recovery time. Only local anesthesia or a light sedative is needed for laser treatment.

What can I expect after treatment?

You will be able to walk following the treatment, and recovery typically is short. You are likely to be able to return to your normal daily routine after simple laser treatment.

After endovenous laser treatment, you will wear compression stockings for 1 week or more. To follow up, your doctor will use duplex ultrasound to make sure that the vein is closed.

Are there any risks with Laser Vein Therapy?

Potential side effects include minor redness or swelling around the treated area, skin discoloration, blisters, and rarely scarring. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is a recently developed treatment for spider veins. IPL delivers pulses of different bands of light to targeted areas.

Our medical staff are very experienced with providing safe and effective laser treatment for varicose veins that the risks are minimal to none.

How many treatments required for Laser Vein Therapy?

As with Sclerotherapy, several sessions are frequently necessary for optimal results with laser therapy. Resolution can take anywhere from several weeks to several months after treatment.

Was really impressed by the professional staff and the results of my treatment. It was my first time trying laser therapy, and they made me feel at ease throughout the process. Would recommend to anyone looking to improve their skin.

BTL EMSELLA is a new service now being offered here, and if you are someone like me who has lived her life with too many bathroom breaks, I would recommend giving this treatment a try. I have dealt with a sensitive bladder for most of my life, and to say the least, this has been inconvenient. I was getting up at least once a night and whenever I was out looking for the closest washroom. When I heard about this treatment being offered, I decided to give it a try. Six sessions over 3 weeks. Nothing invasive or painful. My experience so far has been liberating in that I am no longer having an interrupted sleep and can wander the mall for a few hours before scoping out the nearest washroom. In my opinion this has been totally worth it.

the BEST laser hair removal ever. I am so happy with my results, it has genuinely changed my life. I had issues my whole life shaving and getting insane irritation, but after a few sessions here my hair barely grows anymore. and it’s been about a year since I’ve had any treatments- still barely any hair growth. I went to a different med spa first and had 8 laser hair removal sessions which did nothing to reduce my hair growth. Then came to this clinic and i saw results after my first session. i’m telling you the laser is very effective and the technician is VERY thorough and gets all the spots. 10/10 if you want results and hair reduction give this a try I would recommend to everyone!!
