Eyebrows Microblading

Make your Eyebrows look Beautiful!

EYEBROWS are the one thing you can get into shape without exercising. So what are you waiting for?

Let's talk about microblading and what it is.

Microblading or Eyebrow Embroidery is a semi permanent make up procedure that allows you to dramatically correct or fully reconstruct your eyebrows. It doesn't matter if you like your eyebrows arched and feathered or straight and bold, eyebrows are arguably the most important facial feature.

Microblading before and after

If you are not satisfied with the ones you have, there are so many ways to update them, including brow gel, pencils and even tattooing, BUT now there's  a very natural option that delivers semi-permanent results. Unlike the sometimes Sharpie-esque effects of permanent make up, Microblading is more of an embroidery style that mimics real like hairs. To make things simple, Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, fill in over plucked eyebrows, hair loss as a result of  Chemotherapy, Alopecia, active lifestyles, correcting asymmetry and/or if you have trouble applying conventional make up.

Microblading FAQs

You are probably asking yourself, how is Mircoblading done.

Microblading is performed by manually depositing pigment superficially in the upper region of the dermis with the use of a hand tool with attached needles fused together in a linear grouping.  It does not involve the use of a machine.  Because colour is implanted into the top layer of the skin with natural feathering strokes, they appear and remain crisp and extremely fine to give you beautiful designed brows with a fuller and thicker finish.

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic is used to numb the area in order  to give you an optimal level of comfort.

What should you do to prepare for the procedure?

There is no prep required.  Leaving your eyebrows alone for a week (no tweezing, waxing or otherwise removing the hair) is preferred.

What should I do after the procedure?

Other than making sure your skin is dry and clean-not much.  An after care kit and instructions will be provided to you after the treatment is complete.

How long does it take?

The procedure takes roughly about two hours, sometimes more sometimes less.

Do you need to take a day off work?

No. There is no downtime associated with the treatment.  Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after.  Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.  Keep in mind, the pigment will fade 30-40% during the healing process.  This is why a touch up in 4-6 weeks is a must to achieve the desired outcome.

How long does it take to heal?

Healing varies from individual to individual.  Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off.  Your skin will be considered healed after that happens.  Then, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin.  A good month should pass before we consider the process complete.

What can't I do after the procedure?

You are advised to keep your skin dry for 7 to 10 day. That means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling the tattoo.  You can still wash your face and hair (coconut oil is used on the brows to act as a barrier) and once they are healed up, you treat them as our own.

originally went in for laser, which is going amazingly well, so professional. However when I was there this lovely team began to help me with my skin on my face, something I had unfortunately accepted thinking it was like that for the rest of my life
After waiting over 12 months to see a dermatologist that did nothing, I broke down in tears when I realised laser aesthetics could help. My skin is now clear and so healthy looking and did not cost a fortune either. The staff are so friendly and helpful and truly understand the emotions involved regarding ones skin.

I was referred to Sue at Laser Aesthetics by a friend. I am so glad I was! Sue is a professional nurse and very knowledgeable. Her clinic is clean and comfortable. I am very happy with their services.

I have seen both Nurses Sue and Dani for my Botox and Filler. I come back every time and refer all my friends. They are extremely professional as well as kind. After having bad experiences with other clinics around this area i go to Laser Aesthetics for all my cosmetic procedures.
